The Sponsored Projects Solution (SPS) Team, an advisory group of department and college administrators, has created a template for use in proposal budget development of sponsored projects.

A year in development, the purpose of creating this template was to foster standardization, consistency, and best practices in building budgets across campus. Over time the template will be integrated with other electronic processes supported through the Sponsored Projects Portal. The new budget template is now available at http://www.osp.cornell.edu/ProposalPrep/BudgetTemplate/. We recommend that you review the template before the workshop.

The workshop will introduce the template, provide instructions on how to use it effectively and describe how it will benefit budget processing in the department, the Office of Sponsored Programs, and Sponsored Funds Accounting. Members from the SPS Team will be on hand to answer questions and solicit suggestions for future revisions.
