Facilities & Administrative Cost Rates FY06-FY09

Cornell and the federal government have negotiated Facilities & Administrative Cost Rates for the period July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2009 (FY06-FY09). Complete information for all years of the agreement may be found at: http://www.accounting.cornell.edu/F&A_Cost_Rates.cfm.

For the current fiscal year only the rates are as follows. See the link above for other years.

Endowed colleges 58%.
Contract colleges (incl. Geneva) (research) 53.5%
Contract college (educational service) 56.7%
NAIC/Arecibo 11%
Off-campus 26%.

In accordance with OMB Circular A-21, section G.7, F&A rates are fixed for the non-competitive life for the award. The new rates apply only to new awards issued after July 1, 2005. Those awards issued after July 1, 2005 at the Contract College provisional rate of 56% will be adjusted to 53.5% in November.
