Grants.gov PureEdge Hands-on Training offered in December and January

A series of training sessions on using the PureEdge grant application tool will be held in December and January. PureEdge is the software application package required by grants.gov for submission of proposals to an increasing number of federal agencies. Sessions will be held in G25 Stimson from 9:30 to 11:30AM on December 7 & 14 and January 4, 11 & 18. Additional sessions will be announced in the future. Space is limited and priority given to those with upcoming submission deadlines. Registration is required at http://www.research.cornell.edu/Registrations/Workshops/Grants.gov/registration.cfm.

This session will cover:

  • a brief overview of grants.gov
  • how to find solicitations
  • the PureEdge forms
  • campus processes, support & recommendations
  • agency specific guidance

Hands-on components will demonstrate finding an application package on the grants.gov web site, navigation and data entry in the PureEdge tool and using the electronic dropbox for transferring large files across campus.

The presentation is targeted at investigators, their administrative support staff, research administrators, and others who will participate in proposal preparation to federal agencies via grants.gov early in 2007. This includes the February 5th NIH R01 submissions. Check your proposal guidelines to determine if your program will be affected.
