NIH grants.gov Webcast: Tuesday, December 5, 2006 - 9:00am - Noon in G10 Biotech

NIH has announced a training event to help applicants prepare to submit grant applications electronically to NIH through grants.gov. The event will provide an overview of the electronic submission process and use of the SF424 and agency-specific forms and walk participants through the submission process. While specific to NIH, this session will provide useful general grants.gov information that will apply to electronic proposal applications for all federal agencies.

Please see http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-07-009.html for complete details.

The presentation is targeted towards research administrators, new and experienced investigators, postdocs, trainees, and anyone who will be applying for an NIH grant electronically.

Sponsored Program Services will host a viewing of this webcast from 9am to noon on Tuesday, December 5 in G10 Biotech. Refreshments will be provided. There is no charge for this event, however, we are requesting attendees to register so we will have an estimated count for producing handouts and ordering refreshments.

Note that this session may be of interest to faculty and others in the Cornell research community who do not normally attend sponsored program educational events; please forward this announcement to others who might find it valuable. We are hoping for a strong turnout for this unique training opportunity.
