Subject: Announcing a New University Policy: Personal Communication Devices
The University Policy Office (UPO) is pleased to announce the issuance of University Policy 3.24, Personal Communication Devices.
This new policy provides rules for consistency to departments and units controlling employees using cell phones (and other communication devices) for university business. It provides three clear options for administrators to accommodate this practice: (1) issuing unit-owned devices, (2) granting supplemental communication allowances, or (3) reimbursing business calls for infrequent users.
